Park University’s education program is approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. To be certified in the state of Missouri, candidates must complete the program, achieve a passing score on the appropriate Missouri Content Assessment (MoCA) test and Missouri Pre-Service Teacher Assessment (MoPTA), obtain a recommendation by Park University and apply for certification. Upon successful completion of these steps, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education issues a Missouri Teaching Certificate. Teaching certification also requires passing a background check conducted by both the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the FBI, which includes fingerprinting.

Park offers a wide range of options in the School of Education for aspiring teachers, administrators and educational advocates. Degree programs lead to certification in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School and Secondary Education and K-12 Education. Or, those not interested in certification should consider the innovative Education Studies degree with specialization available in the Young Child, Youth, Early Childhood and Leadership, and Early Childhood Teaching Young Children.
