About Parkville

Parkville is a vibrant town located five miles north of Kansas City, on the banks of the Missouri River. It was founded in 1844 and named after original settler, George S. Park. This thriving community maintains its small town charm while providing easy access to the wide range of attractions and activities available throughout the rest of the Kansas City metro area.

Spend a relaxing afternoon strolling through the historic downtown lined with antique shops, art galleries and other local businesses. Get a bite to eat at one of the well-loved restaurants situated throughout downtown and the greater Parkville area. The large park that stretches along the riverbank makes Parkville a popular location for carnivals, festivals, concerts, fireworks displays, and farmer's markets. And if you feel like getting some exercise while you enjoy the fresh air, you can run or bike on the trails along the river or head over to the National to get in a round of golf.
